I was born in a village. My parents were farmers.
I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters. My parents were very talented.
My mother sew, cooked, she did the bread herself, she worked in the garden.
My father did wooden spoons for 50 years of his life. He earned money this way.
He was one the best spoon makers in our region.
My father
died 20 years ago. Today his student, Mietek, does the spoons.
If you want to do the spoon, you have to find a piece of wood…I saw how my father did the spoons using different tools.
It’s not an easy process. You have to be very patient.
All the children helped father to clean the spoons. We learn
ed to cooperate, to be responsible, and always finish our work.
Helping my parents was also a great fun. We understood what is the most important in our life.
My family is strong, because we are growing up with the traditions, respect and love.
Today I learn my children what is the most important in our life.
It’s very important to remember who are we and to remember history of each family.
My father
always said: the place where we were born is very important. Today I know it.
My granddaughter lives in London today, but me and my daughter, we learned her the family traditions.
I’m sure my family will keep the traditions. Till now we are using wooden spoons.
