It's been a while since we were in Ermoupoli. When we meet, Yinka, Margaret and I keep smiling at one another as if there's some secret we share ....... which of course there is!

I hope you are all settled back into your respective jobs and homes. In Liverpool the long, warm Autumn is stretching out for a few more days, the cold weather held back by a finger of high pressure pressing down from Scandanavia. In Scotland we say "We'll pay for that later."

We miss Marcus Aurelius' nose.
